Walnut is located 1 mile south of Interstate 80, right at Exit 46. It's less than an hour east of Omaha, Nebraska, and is only 85 miles from Des Moines. Although it has only 785 inhabitants, it attracts over 80,000 tourists and brings more than $9 million annually to Pottawattamie County.
