Walnut has several dining choices including Glenn's Food & Pub, Emma Jean's; McDonald's, and Kum & Go Pizza. We also have a bakery that serves a fantastic lunch menu, Roberts Bakery Treats & Treasures.
We are host to five (5) churches, Calvary Baptist Church, First Presbyterian Church, Our Savior Lutheran Church, Peace United Church of Christ and St. Patrick's Catholic Church. We also have multiple antique shops in our downtown area, which is showcased by our original brick streets.

In June, every Father's Day weekend, the AmVets hold their annual Walnut Antique Show. Also in June and again in October we have City-wide garage sales.
